ฟุคุยาม่า มาซาฮารุ เพิ่งจะกำลังยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าเรา ‘ที่นั่น’
ที่ไหนน่ะเหรอ? ในบาร์ของโรงแรมล้ำสมัยแห่งหนึ่งที่ถูกแปลงสภาพมาจากปราสาทในศตวรรษที่ 19 ปกติแล้วหลังจากถ่ายรูปเสร็จ เรามักจะนั่งสัมภาษณ์กันในห้องชุดของโรงแรม บนโซฟาสบายๆ แต่วันนี้ เขาเลือกไปที่บาร์เคาท์เตอร์ โดยกับบอกเราว่า “แบบนี้ผมรู้สึกผ่อนคลายมากกว่า” และเขาก็ยืนอยู่ที่นั่น
ดูราวกับจักรพรรดิของโรมันในอดีตที่กำลังกล่าวถ้อยคำแก่สาธารณชน เขายืนอยู่ตรงนั้นพูดคุยกับเราเป็นเวลา 1 ชั่วโมงเต็ม ลองนึกภาพตามผ่านทางบทสัมภาษณ์ที่คุณจะได้อ่านต่อไปนี้ได้ว่าเป็นอย่างไร

F: “นี่เป็นครั้งแรกของผมเลยจริงๆ ที่โรม”

วันที่ 3 กุมภาพันธ์ เนื่องจากเขามีงานที่ต้องทำที่นี่ 2-3 อย่าง จึงได้ลัดฟ้าเปลี่ยนเครื่องมุ่งหน้ามาสู่ใจกลางยุโรปนี้ และเราก็โชคดีพอที่ได้มาสัมภาษณ์เขาที่นี่…กรุงโรม…  ต้อนรับวันเกิดครบรอบ 40 ปีอันน่าจดจำ ดังนั้นตลอดทั้งสัปดาห์จึงเป็นเหมือน “สัปดาห์แห่งวันเกิด” อย่างแท้จริง  ถึงจะเป็นเรื่องบังเอิญพอดีที่เขาต้องใช้เวลานี้ในสถานที่ที่มีประวัติความเป็นมายาวนานร่วม 3,000 ปี แต่ก็อดที่จะรู้สึกขึ้นมาไม่ได้จริงๆ ว่าเป็นความบังเอิญที่ช่างแสนโรแมนติค
ในวัย 40 ปี เขาเอ่ยออกมาโดยไม่ลังเล1 ว่าเป็น ‘age of excitement’ แต่ในตอนที่อายุยังน้อยกว่านี้ ภาพของตัวเองในวัย 40 ที่อยู่ในความคิดของเขาก็คือ “ผมน่าจะเข้าใจได้ชัดเจนว่าต้องการอะไร และไม่สนใจในเรื่องอื่นๆ ให้มากจนเกินไปนัก”

F: ความคิดของผมเปลี่ยนไป ให้พูดก็คือ ผมคิดว่าความพอใจของคนเราและรูปแบบความคิดจะค่อยๆ [...]

Midori, one of our founding members was able to get tickets to the「3939」concert this year. This was Masha’s first concert at the Budokan1 and she was lucky enough to spend 3 whole hours amidst the excitement, the surprises, the touching moments,….and the sweat. (I’m so jealous XD)
