Gunjou 「群青 ~ultramarine~」 Lyrics
Gunjou ~ultramarine~
Music / Lyrics: Fukuyama Masaharu
To protect the people they love,
Those who are strong, would face the journey alone
What goals do they have, what beliefs do they work for?
I am so weak, I can only gaze on their backs
Hands which were connected, are torn apart
Gunshots echo in the name of freedom
What type of justice, takes life away like that?
I am so helpless, I can only watch them die
Despite all this, despite all this, I want to love you
Can you allow me this wish?
Despite all this, despite all this, I want to be loved by you
Can you be the salvation to my prayers?
We have been handed down seas which are blue
We have inherited trees which are green, that we know
Oh~~they are all interlinked - birth; destruction and beliefs
I am so minute, I can only continue to entrust myself to them
Despite all this, despite all this, I want to believe in tomorrow
Can you allow me this wish?
Despite all this, despite all this, I want to go on living tomorrow
Can you be the salvation to my prayers?
The tears of this planet have always been blue
The song of this planet now lies with you
If only we can bring it all together?
More than now, more than this, I want to love you (even more)
Can you allow me this wish?
More than now, I want to be loved by you (even more)
Can you be the salvation to my prayers?

This is the closing theme song that Masha wrote for the Tokyo TV news programme “World Business Satellite” in 2007. He had sung it a few times in live music shows and his concerts, but it was not released on CD until his latest album “Zankyo” 「残響」 in 2009.
Translated with reference to the Chinese version at Fukuyama Honne (Article 512) and the original lyrics
