A Message from Masha to his fans (3/14)
This is Fukuyama.
Just like everyone else, I have an increasing sense of helplessness when watching the TV. With that, we must be all thinking desperately “is there anything I can do”. No matter how hard it is to watch the news, at this point do not ignore it, do not close our ears. It is the right thing to know what is happening and to cope with it. This feeling of insecurity will ease with time.
Things you can do individually include fundraising and donating money. Conserve energy if your area has not been affected. Exchange information with friends and people you know.
This may be the answer. For now, why don’t we just “do the things we can do”.
Although the scenes we are encountering are beyond imagination, those people working in the field for rescue and recovery have my utmost admiration. When I think about the compassion shown by people who have been affected and how they still help each other, my chest feels tight.
I hope one by one, more people get rescued, I believe in the strength of people. I believe in the heart of people.
Other than the things I can do personally, in my occupation as an entertainer, in the midst of these feelings of sympathy and condolences, what am I able to do at this point? I am now discussing this with my staff.
As for the concerts to come, we need to think carefully on our options to avoid any confusion. Sorry for any inconvenience, but for now, please be patient.
